Dutch Postcode Finder

Find the postcode of any address in the Netherlands, or see which streets a Dutch postcode covers. Type a street, house number and place; suggestions appear as you type.

We don't store what you search for. We only use it for this lookup.

Type a Dutch address to see its postcode, or a postcode to see which streets it covers.

Please note: The addresses come from the Dutch Basic Registration of Addresses and Buildings (BAG) of the Kadaster and are updated every month. An address that is new or just changed may still be missing. A house letter or addition sometimes has a different postcode.

How it works

What is the postcode of an address in the Netherlands? Type the street, house number and place, or pick a suggestion as you type. You see the postcode at once. Type a postcode to see which streets and house numbers it covers.

The addresses come from the Basic Registration of Addresses and Buildings (BAG) of the Kadaster, the official list of every address in the Netherlands. We fetch the file every month and keep only the street, the place and the house numbers per postcode.

A street usually has its own postcode for the even and the odd side, and a long street has more. A house letter or addition almost always shares the postcode of the house number, so we search by the house number.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Dutch postcode look like?

Four digits and two letters, such as 1017 GL in Amsterdam. It usually covers one side of a street or a small group of buildings.

Why is The Hague listed as 's-Gravenhage?

In the BAG some places have their official name. The Hague is 's-Gravenhage and Den Bosch is 's-Hertogenbosch. You can simply type The Hague or Den Haag.

Do you store what I search for?

No. We only use what you type to find the postcode. We don't store it, and it doesn't appear in our statistics.
