Sumish offers free calculators for everyday questions about money, cars, energy, health and more. By using the site you accept these terms. They are short on purpose; the explanation with each calculator and our page on how we work tell you more.

Estimates, not advice

Every result is an estimate. It is based on what you enter, on the assumptions shown with the calculator and on the sources and figures of the date mentioned there. Rates, prices, taxes and rules change, and your own situation may differ from the assumptions.

Nothing on Sumish is financial, investment, tax, legal or medical advice, and no result is a personal recommendation. Sumish is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and it is not a registered investment adviser, broker, tax preparer or law firm. Before an important decision, such as a mortgage, a loan, an investment, a large purchase or a change in diet or treatment, check the figures with the provider or with a qualified professional, such as a financial adviser or a doctor.

Careful, but without guarantee

We build and check our calculators carefully: the formulas are open, every calculator has fixed checks that run on each publication, and we log every change. Even so, a calculation, a figure or a text may contain an error. We do not guarantee that the site is complete, correct or always available.

No providers, no sales

We do not sell financial products and we do not recommend providers. We receive no payment for links. The sources we link to show where our figures come from; they are not recommendations.

Liability

You use the results at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that results from using the site or a result, including decisions you base on it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for intent or gross negligence. Nor does anything here affect your rights as a consumer.

Using the site

You may use the calculators for personal and business purposes and share links to them. Do not use the site in a way that disrupts it or burdens it unreasonably, for example with large numbers of automated requests. The texts and the design of Sumish are ours; you may quote them with a link to the page.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law gives you the right to go to a court in the country where you live. If you use Sumish as a consumer, you always keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

Changes

We may change these terms, for example when we add calculators or features. The version on this page applies.
